The little Central American shop, same side of the street as Floating Rock but a little further away from the beach (maybe the same block, I can't recall) had a handwritten sign on the door last Saturday for "tamales de gallina." Big tamales, a bit of leaf for flavor but really foil-wrapped, lovely light-textured masa. Filling was biggish chunks of chicken breast, some coarsely diced potato, a few chickpeas. Very plainly seasoned, but did not need anything else (and this from a person very free with the hot sauce!). $2 each (cold). One of these and some fruit makes a nice light meal. Not a destination treat but next time I'm down there I'm picking up some, if available.
