Good Fruit in Staten Island

I'm looking for recommendations for good fruit stores, or supermarkets that you've found to carry really good fruit, in Staten Island. I can rarely find sweet and juicy canteloupes, honeydews, nectarines, peaches, etc. I think that there's a farmers' market in St. George on Saturdays, but that's not an option for me.

I live in the Willowbrook area, and used to shop in Happy Farms on Victory Blvd., but that's really gone downhill. I haven't found consistently decent fruit in Top Tomato, on Victory, or in any of the local supermarkets, such as Waldbaum's, Shoprite, Pathmark, or Stop n Shop. This is not to say that I never find decent fruit in any of these places, but it is rare. For the most part the peaches and nectarines are either dry and mealy, or juicy, but not sweet.
As for melons, I've found that they are also disappointing for the most part. Many fruits never seem to ripen. This year seems worse than usual.
I seem to remember that years ago, it was much easier to find delicious produce. If anyone has any good suggestions in Willowbrook, or within reasonable driving distance, I would really appreciate your input.
Thanks so much!
