Good friends coming for first time visit....

Northshore Lady | Feb 21, 2005 02:07 PM

from Boston. I have 4 full days & 4 nites to get alot in, plus a visit over here to the Northshore(we are doing a boil), and a trip to the Fairgrounds for some racing. They are staying in the quarter. They are foodhounds & music lovers.
We are going to do a variety of restaurants in the quarter. Sort of tasting at a bunch but eating smaller amounts at many; some apps here, lite lunch there, drinks in many spots, dessert different place from dinner. I've spent a lot of time entertaining around the city so know most of the must-do's for the first time visit.
My dilemna is for dinner on Thursday, my friend's birthday and they will be on their own. We'll celebrate it here on Friday. I want them to have a unique, fine dining, New Orleans experience with Res., no waiting in lines.
I am leaning the most to Brigtsens, but I can get stuck in old habits. And then I think Commanders is so flashy, Gabrielle's & Mr. B's are so good, and that is not even covering the new spots. There are just so many of the old traditional places and new ones to choose from, I just can't seem to make a decision. They are going to go wherever I suggest.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, I want them to have a GREAT time and catch the fever so they'll come back and see me.
