Good food in/near Georgetown, Maryland?

JMF | Apr 14, 2005 07:43 AM

I will be in this area several days a week the next few months, near the Sassafras River and Route 213, designing natural and organic food and bath/body products to be produced by an organic farm in the area. What are some good places to eat. Both high and low end restaurants, and places for breakfast or sandwiches. Also are there any good BBQ places?

I went once to Kitty Knight House last week and was unimpressed. The cons: I thought the crab soup tasted like cream, butter, and salt, no crab. The chicken with crab was also tasteless and too salty, the chicken both tough and bland. The Caesar salad had a bottled dressing taste. The crab cakes tasted fishy, off, and had a gooey texture. The pros: good service (there were only three tables including us), a decently priced wine list.

Thanks, JMF
