Good food near Corning - Specifically is 'Slamming Jamming BBQ' chow-worthy??

To avoid my posting getting lost in the mix, ( though I have made inquiries about good food in the Fingers Lake area else where on this board), I think a new posting is warranted.

As I eluded to in my previous postings, I will be leading a group of 15 passionate foodies from Toronto to New York city this coming Summer, for a few days of ' Culinary Blitzkrieg'. To make the trip more enjoyable, I have decided to stay overnight in the Fingers Lake region thus preventing a really loooong single stretch ride down.

Are there any good chow-worthy food in the area of Corning and/or Binghamton where we decide to sleep overnight?

I noticed 'Slammin Jammin Southern Smoked BBQ' in Corning getting some good review on Trip-advisor. Is the food good and can they handle our large group? Any other recommendations?

BTW, any really good hotels in the area? Special theme, lakeside views...etc would be great?! As long as its not too far out of the way and in a general direction towards New York!

Many Thanks!!
