Sa Aming Nayon on 1st avenue between 12th and 13th St is a great place for Filipino food. It is the style of north Luzon. The dishes I had all had good flavor and were prepared right. The sizzling sisig ( chopped up pig ears etc) was very good, the lechon kawali ( fried pork belly) was crispy and flavorful, the dinaguan was exactly as I've had in Luzon, good vinegar flavor. The sizzling seafood sisig was not done the way I've had it in the Phillipines, the pieces of squid and octopus were not crispy and they were cut too big. This was the only dish I've had that I did not like. The BBQ is pretty good, but not as good as some of the Queens resturants. Everything else was excellent, and they have a nice backyard to dine in if the weather is nice.
