I'm going out Saturday with a group of 4-5 people; one loves interesting food, Asian in particular (but not essential). She'd love us to go somewhere really special where we'll all be bored by the effort to decide how to order from the menu and (probably) disappointed by the quality/price ratio. But to make her happy we'll probably be willing to spend up to $55-65 a person, including maybe $30 on a decent bottle of wine, tax and tip, or about $40 for the food (assume some shared appetizers and desserts). We can go anywhere in lower Manhattan. A scene would be fine but we're likely to eat early and miss it. Any thoughts?
