We'll be in Vermont on vacation next week, and I'm looking for food recommendations. I've already searched the archives and come up with a few names, but wouldn't mind a few more. We'll be staying in Woodstock, with definite plans to visit Montpelier and Killington, but we're also willing to drive a decent distance for really good chow. Anything that shouldn't be missed? I'm interested in fine dining, less fine dining, good places to pick up a picnic lunch, cheese factories, killer ice cream, whatever. We're staying at a B&B, so we won't need breakfast, but any other ideas are welcome.
On the list already is Simon Pearce, the Ben & Jerry's factory (gotta do something touristy while we're there), and one of the NECI restaurants in Montpelier (any thoughts on these?).
