Three good (new) dining experiences in Durham NC

So I've been feeling a little bored with my regular stable of restaurants in the area and have been experimenting with not much luck. I have found three surprisingly good places (or at least had three surprisingly good meals) that I haven't seen mentioned here in the past.

Friday for lunch I went to Don's Dogs, on the corner of Buchanan and Chapel Hill St. I think they're only open for lunch, and in this heat you pretty much have to eat in your car, but I had an excellent hamburger with decent fries (slightly soggy but still good)--Comparable but better than wimpys or Kings.

This weekend I had a carne asada torta at La Hacienda on 15-501. Excellent bread, well spiced strips of beef, a little avocado and beans. A touch above any other torta I've had recently, although it does lose something for being eaten indoors.

The other day this weekend I discovered a taco shack near Costco which had excellent tacos. I tried the tacos de cabeza and tacos de lengua, both of which were at least better than average and well worth the sticker price.
