Hi all -
I've had a business meeting cancelled in Paris next Monday and as such have the whole day free (before more meetings Tuesday). As I haven't yet been to any of the Christmas markets of France, perhaps this is a good chance to give it a go?
Alsace evidently has the more famous and traditional ones (in Strasbourg, Belfort, etc.) but that's a bit far for a day-trip. So, can anyone recommend one within an hour or two of Paris by train (Reims, Chartres, Rouen, Orleans, Troyes possibly?) that has some good chow to eat and take home? Lovely scenery, interesting artisanship and a high charming/cheesy ratio would be nice, too, but I don't want to drift too far from food topics here ...
Thanks in advance!
