In the spirit of Jim's challenge on this board I thought I'd mention a good place to get cheese in Park Slope. I can't remember the exact name but it's a French bakery on 9th St between 5th and 6th Aves. "Parisien" or something like that. Anyway the bread is decent but the cheese case is the real star, with epoisses, St. Andre, some good chevre and others. Also there are some nice mustards, sherry vinegar, and a great French condiment called eggplant caviar. I'll definitely get some picnic supplies there when spring is here for good.
