good cheap place in Chinatown

I recently found what i consider a great place. When I walked in, I gave my order to the friendly elderly woman who presided over the steam table. She didn't speak much English, but I didn't care, since my 4 pieces of fried chicken and rice were only $2.75. (A half-takeout-boxful of string beans was an extra dollar. Another place up the block was charging $6.50 for the same vegetable). There were several other choices at that price, including shredded garlic pork, and others for $3.75 and up. I ate at a table in the small upstairs dining area. Since this is a no-name kind of joint, I'm calling it Low Ceiling. (There is a sign posted on the stairs with a "don't bump your head" warning and you also have to watch your head in the restroom). It is located on Lafayette St. between White St. & Walker St. (about a block below Canal on the E side of the street). There is a large Mountain Dew sign in the window and 2 menu placards.
If ambience is very important to you, you might not be happy here, but if you just want something good to eat at low prices, this is the place to go.
