Good burger found....

M. Allen | Apr 1, 2003 09:49 AM Applebee's. I visited the location in Columbia this weekend, with my mother (not a chowhound, in any sense of the word). I ordered their Patty Melt (?). Thick, juicy burger, with cheddar and swiss, covered in carmelized onions, between two slices of grilled sourdough. This is a good burger. Grilled, with just the right amount of char on the outside, but still juicy inside. The fries weren't half bad either. My mother however, ordered a stir fry dish, that seemed to be a defrost and eat item. Blah taste, limp veggies, strangely crunchy rice. I enjoyed my meal and will probably return, the next time I want a simple burger.
