Gold Medal revisited

yimster | Dec 2, 2005 11:30 PM

Since I could not made the chowdown last week and reading the wonderful post I and few friends visited the Gold Medal new location.

All the dishes were good and very flavorful as relayed ot me. I am recovering from a cold and do not have all my taste buds back.

I try to order new dishes on the most part.

Dried scallop and yellow chives soup

Garlic snap pea leaves

Salt and Papper Crab at 12.95, the sign said crab prepared most ways for that price. Very frssh and I could tell it was local since it was sweet and the flesh threaded.

Goat in a clay pot with dired bean crub.

Steamed three eggs.

Steamed oyster with black bean sauce. This was the standout dish of the meal. Very well prepared not over cooked, over sauced, and over seasoned. The true sweet natuarl favor of fresh oyster came out.

Cost with a 20% tip was 15 each for five.

Had 1/2 a roast duck and beef stew to go for dinner.

Notice the live tank and saw a very interesting fish, since I did not order it I will have to wait to report on that item after I get to try it.
