I drink way too much tea. Partly because good oolong tea needs to be consumed before too long anyway(bad excuse), partly because I like drinking hot beverages. In an effort to cut down on my caffein consumption I'm always keeping my eyes open for good non-caffeinated drinks. In the last two years I've been seeing various brands of bittermelon teas in Asian markets, usually from Vietnam. They are very inexpensive. The package contains dried sliced bittermelons. You make the tea as you would regular tea. Some even include a recipe for making a soup with pork.
This tea is especially good in the summer, as bittermelon has a "cooling" effect on the system.
