Gochi Japanese Fusion Tapas Review

Lando | Jun 12, 2008 09:25 PM

I was able to have dinner at Gochi Japanese Fusion Tapas in Cupertino, CA. It's a great spot with unique dishes. The food was very delicious. It was interesting to see how they took traditional Japanese dishes and added a bit of flare to them. We started off with the Kinoko Frisee Warm Salad. A tasty dish that was simple. I was hyped when I saw the Hamachi Carpaccio. As a big Hamachi lover, I really enjoyed it. Next were the Renkon Hasami, which was a shrimp and lotus deep fried dish, and Kani Cream Croquette, a deep fried crab dish. These two dishes really packed some flavor. I know I’ll be ordering these when we go back.

The food didn’t stop there. A chicken and eggplant dish called Tori Nasu Garlic Chicken came out. The sauce was sweet and would go perfect with a little bit of rice. That’s not all. The highlight of the night was when a pizza came out. The Kurobuta Chasu Miso Fusion Pizza surprised me. I would never expect such a dish to come out of a Japanese restaurant. Hands down, it was my favorite dish of the night.

I posted pictures on our website to give you an idea of their presentation:
