You guys probably know aboiut this place but.....

Friday (after checking out MOMA QNS)I spotted a Mexican taco truck at 40th street and queens blvd. I sa wthat they had gaot, tongue, and tripe on the menu (among chicken, bistek etc..) so figured it was autrhentic. It was 6pm, but their hours are something like 7pm to 3am.

Anyway...I had the goat taco ($2), which was excellent, fresh, and yummy..and not extremely goatey. They had hot sauce (arbol) and tomatillo salso. Yum. The men selling them were very helpful. They are soft tacos.

I went back around 1am the same day and firstly the staff has changed (men to women). Also, now they had guacomole to put on the tacos as well. The thing is that the tacos were not nearly as good, oily, and not as fresh.

BTW, I hear they make soundwiches with the same fillings for $4.

So, if you are around there in the early evening, you may want to get soem tacos, but not in the wee hours.
