Since we're working remotely during Covid, my husband and I decided to rent a shotgun house off St. Charles in the Milan area, and work from Nola for the last week of March. Since we've been spending all our time eating at home for the last year, and just got vaccinated, we are super excited to be able to hit some restaurants.
We've been to Nola a few times in the last 5 years and some of our favorites are Saba, Avo, Superior Seafood for the oysters, and La Petite Grocery. We also love BearCat, Willa Jean, La Boulangerie for breakfast/brunch. We want to put together a mix of casual and nicer places, nothing we have to get too dressed up for, and we generally eat anything but love seafood of all kinds, especially oysters.
Here's the list of what we are considering:
Clancy's or Galatoire's or Commander's Palace -- never been to any of them but only need to hit one this trip
Sylvain
Coquette
Cochon
Herbsaint
Peche
Dooky Chase
GW Fins
Chloe Restaurant
Any other ideas? What about an Italian? Loved the food at Pascal's Manale but would prefer better ambiance.
