Stopped in at Gloria's on Venice east of Motor after it was mentioned on this board. Mexican and Salvadorean items on menu all sounded good, but I was looking for a light lunch and decided on the seafood cocktail. I was not disappointed. The large goblet was brimming with shrimp, scallops and octopus in a lightly spicy tomato sauce. Chunks of tomato in the sauce, and the whole thing was topped with slices of advocado and sprinkled with cilantro leaves. Everything was superfresh and perfectly prepared: the shrimp wasn't the least bit chewy, the scallops were silky smooth and the octopus was chewy-tender. I left satisfied without being stuffed.
From this limited experience, this place seems like a find. Anyone have any suggestions on other menu items to order?
