The Globe restaurant: Atlanta

Went to The Globe Restaurant last night for dinner. I had heard many mixed reviews but wanted to see for myself. The hostess seemed a bit overwhelmed but we were seated promptly. Our waitress was great though. She knew her stuff and was attentive throughout the meal. I loved the space. It was very modern and spacious. The menu had an assortment of interesting items and the prices were very reasonable. My dinner date had the heirloom tomato and chevre salad along with the roast organic chicken. I had the salad of Ashland baby greens and the steak frites. We had the berry cobbler and the pineapple cake. I was impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the preparation. The other thing I like about the food was it was simply prepared with no pretense. Simple dressings and accompaniments let the food's quality stand out. That says a lot about the chef's confidence in their methods. I will be returning.Check out more of my reviews at: http://blissfulglutton.blogspot.com/
