Globe - get it while you can

PlonkMan | Apr 4, 200512:41 PM     1

As noted in an earlier thread, Globe (72 Market Street, Venice) will be closing in June. That will be a sad day. This is a wonderful restaurant that unfortunately never caught on. Last Saturday we made the first of what I hope will be several valedictory visits. Owing to a big lunch, Ann and I skipped the first course and went straight to the roast chicken for two, which was, as always, delicious. We'd planned to skip dessert, but our hostess (who's as good as anyone in town at her job, as is the entire waitstaff) sent us a complementary vanilla creme brulee. Very nice.

Go go go. Now now now.
