Glass lid pros/cons?

I'm looking to replace a couple of every day use pots. I currently have very inexpensive, thin, poorly constructed stainless steel pots. What clinched the deal for me was I noticed the lid of the largest pot doesn't even fit the pot perfectly anymore, meaning a lot of steam escapes when I use it.

Do people have reasons for/against buying pots with glass lids? I love mine because I can see what's happening in the pot underneath. I assume they're oven safe as well. Are there any downsides that I'm overlooking?

I'm looking at all the more common brands. Any favorites? I'll do some scrolling through the old threads tomorrow as there has been plenty of discussion, but I don't remember anyone asking specifically about glass vs. metal lids. TIA
