[Glasgow] Solo dinner near Glasgow Central Station

Kake | May 7, 201512:56 PM     14

I'm off for a long weekend in Glasgow soon! Although I'm meeting friends there, I'm arriving the evening before everyone else does, so will want somewhere to have dinner on my own on the evening of my arrival (a Thursday night).

I don't need to sit at a bar and have someone talk to me. In fact, I'd prefer not to — somewhere I can read a book over dinner would be ideal.

I like all kinds of food, but generally prefer vegetables to big lumps of meat. I'm coming from London so if possible something Scotland-specific would be very nice.

I'm arriving by train at Glasgow Central Station and staying at a hotel near Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, so somewhere in between those places would be ideal. I'd rather have dinner on the way to the hotel than have to go out again once I've checked in. (I'll be travelling light so no bulky suitcases.)

Any suggestions?
