Giordano's "All-In-One" sandwich report (SF/North Beach)

Hurricane510 | Jul 23, 200509:22 PM

Someone mentioned Giordano's in another thread, and having heard about these infamous Pittsburgh-style Primanti sandwiches (with fries and slaw as actual ingredients), I knew I just had to check it out earlier today when I was in North Beach.

Giordano's does the "All-in-One" sandwich with capicola, Italian sausage, "cheesesteak", coppa, pastrami, or salami. The meat is grilled with melted Provolone, then topped with (really good and crisp) fries and a vinegar-and-olive-oil, no-mayo slaw on thick-cut, soft Italian bread.

It may sound nasty, and it's definitely messy, but mine (the capicola) was delicious. Has anyone else tried it?
