Gingergrass in silverlake...

chubbyme | Oct 12, 200402:31 PM

We had a craving for good vietnamese food and decided to eat at the "talk of the town" new viet restaurant, Gingergrass. I really don't know what to think of it because I was a little confused. I need your stories if you've eaten there.

We started with the chicken and veggie imperial rolls. They were much smaller and greasier than the rolls I've had at other restaurants. The fish sauce dips were rather bland as well. My gingergrass salad came very limp because I think there was too much water in the salad. Overall, everything we ordered was much more bland than I would have expected from vietnamese food. Although they are new, I'm going to give them another try. I was looking for more flavor in the food, but maybe they had an off day. I didn't feel like I was eating at a vietnamese restaurant.
