Giginos on Greenwich St.

We went the other night. It was a most pleasant and enjoyable evening. Other then the young twerp at the next table playing wine glass harmonica, the ambiance was quiet and played the part. Since the idiot parents didn't step in, I think the restaurant should have.

But ....... excellent service, friendly staff. Not pushy.

We had Pastorella salad and Peperina salad. Both had large shaved slices of the cheeses.
Not overdressed.

Roasted potatoes with rosemary, onions and bacon, could have been a little more rosemary in flavor, but there was no shortage of fresh leaves. Perhaps the olive oil used should have been infused.

We had 3 specials. Sea bream in a light white wine with seafood. A roasted duck breast. Homemade sausage with artichoke hearts. I can't remember more of the specific prep, but all were very good.
I had a glass of house Sangiovese that was good too.

We followed with great cappuccino and espresso with Capri style almond and chocolate tart served with vanilla ice cream & Napoli style ricotta and spelt cheesecake with orange flower essence.

3 of ate as above for $150 including tip. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone.
