Giang Nan in Monterey Park

joe | Feb 12, 200502:13 AM

I went to Giang Nan, the new place in Monterey Park. The restaurant was pleasant and the people were friendly, but I'm afraid that the food wasn't very good. I had the catfish in garlic sauce from the specials list and the small steamed buns. The catfish came with whole garlic cloves and some small red fruit. Unfortunately the sauce was oily, there were too many inedible parts of the catfish, and the catfish and garlic tasted bad. The steamed buns were okay but nothing special. I might go back there, but only if experts recommend the place and tell me what else to order.
