I don't know if I'm spelling this right

I was recently visiting Cincinnatti (well, Newport / Covington) and was not able to sample this regional dish

I have enjoyed it several times before, mostly in small diners along Madison street in Covington, kentucky

These all seem to have closed recently and the one remaining seemed closed for renovations this time

Anyway, near as I can tell ghoetta is of German origina and is a sort of rectangular shaped flattish sausage concoction of pork and a generous amount of oats, fried up and served as a breakfast meat

Don't know if it exists in other parts of the country or not

Curious if anyone else knows about this
