I'm actually from the east coast (Washington, D.C.) but spend quite a few weeks in California for work each year. This year, I was fortunate enough to discover The Fifth Floor (where I ate 4 times in a 4 week period), and met George Morrone on my last visit. He told me that he was taking most of his staff to open his new restaurant in the Transcontinental building. Is it open yet? Any reviews? Please, inquiring minds wanna know!!!
