Restaurants & Bars 8

My question is about geography. I have been reading posts here for some time, and know that Toronto is a city with many neighbourhoods, with their own cuisine. We all know that. What I'm wondering is whether someone has some ideas as to cool chow available on east west routes, aside from Bloor Danforth. My thought is that these intersections must have a of lot of cool food that is relatively accessible, especially if one is willing to look bit north or south of the main route. In my case, I'm driving east on Dupont towards Parliament, but there must be others, so if one is driving E-W on for example Dundas or Eglinton both good panini and chinese food (esp. dumplings) should be avaiable in the corridor?
