Genoa and Marseille Suggestions

ninkat | Jul 31, 201605:04 PM     9

I've read all the boards, and nothing terribly recent I can find, so wanted to check in about my thinking. Will be in Genoa (no tag for Genoa on Chowhound!) end of August and Marseille beginning of September. I am traveling alone and generally prefer excellent food in a less formal setting, though I would like to try bouillabaisse, and am happy to go someplace fancy if it has the Chowhound stamp of approval. I have never been to either city. I will be in each place for 5 nights.

I understand Da Rina may be closed altogether.

In Genoa, I am considering: Il Genovese, Enoteca Infernotto, and Antica Trattoria Vico Palla. Also, a day trip maybe to Camogli and lunch at Nonna Nina, if I can arrange that.

In Marseille, I am considering: Chez Fonfon, Cafe des Epices, Chez Michel, L’Epuisette, and Le Gout des Choses.

Will report back, and thanks for any advice you may have!
