Garden Court Report

Richie Richmond | Jul 12, 2004 12:02 PM

Thank you all for recommending the Garden Court for Sunday brunch, it was just what we needed! We had a wonderful waiter, Brian who was attentive and discreet while bringing us champagne, coffee, water, juice etc. The bus boys were also stellar, which is good because we had MANY plates.

The room is indeed magnificent, and the food, although not gourmet, was actually quite tasty. They had tons of different things, ranging from decent to mediocre dim sum, ok sushi, great oysters (or so I am told), shrimp, regular hot/cold breakfast items, various hot meats (turkey, chicken, roast beef etc.) and not so great deserts. My most favorite thing was either the crepe made to order, or the omellete made to order. We lounged for 2 hours, and no one even seemed to think we had overstayed our welcome. I really appreciate all the wonderful advice, and it was so fun to get dressed and go to such an elegant brunch!
