My husband and I are opening a restaurant in a small town outside of Galway - so excited, the culmination of a long held dream! We are focusing on local, artisanal, organic foods and Irish-American (he is Irish, I'm American) dishes. The feel is modern rustic bistro, prices will range between 4.95 (apps) to 24.95 (steak). We will offer small plates, sandwiches, burgers, ribs, meat and potatoes dishes - lots of comfort food. We are very focused on the "family" aspect of our place, with black and white photos of family and handwritten recipes framed on walls, vintage cookbooks on shelves. A very warm and inviting space, with a nice sleek shine. We need help with name suggestions! We are leaning towards something with an ampersand, half Irish word, half English. For example, Siucra & Spice (sugar and spice). But also like An Saol Sona (the happy life, in Gaelic). You can see we are having trouble nailing this down - could definitely use some suggestions if anyone has them! thanks!
