The Galley review

Just Larry | Sep 5, 200512:17 PM

Went Saturday night. Got a couple of glasses of Shiraz that we enjoyed. Cup of the Clam Chowder, lots of clams and some potato, not starchy thick but quite enjoyable. Ordered the 22 oz. Porterhouse medium rare to share and we got asparagus, brocolli, onion rings and mashed potato. Steak was perfectly done and had a nice beefy taste. Only negative is that to weigh 22 oz. they do not trim it enough. Once you trim away the gristle and silver skin it is one damned good steak and a big one at that. Onion rings are excellent. Mashed potato very good. Veggies are simply steamed. I dunked them in the Gorgonzola sauce that came with the steak and they became quite tasty. Had a brownie for dessert. Total before tip was $68.00. A real bargain and the server could not have been nicer or more accomodating. It was fun, inexpensive, good and something that I could easily see doing again. Valet park at Rockenwagner, they'll never know and it is so easy to just walk across the street.
