I've been searching for a spot that specializes in or does an excellent version of galbi jjim - korean short rib stew. I used to enjoy the version at Kun Jip on 32nd St. (before they moved), but found it pretty mediocre last time I went.
I know a lot of restaurants in Korea specialize in galbi jjim, or are particularly known for that, but have never heard of places in either of NY's koreatowns mentioned similarly. I've found this a bit strange since there are plenty of NY korean restos that specialize in stuff like sam gyup sal or naengmyun. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
