The Future of Dining in Albany Park

Kenny from Rogers Park | Nov 10, 2003 10:16 AM

According to the Real Estate section in Sunday's Chicago Tribune (page 7E), Albany Park diners and shoppers have some exciting changes ahead of them:

"Despite this strong local commerce, newcomers and some verterans hope the retail mix changes as Albany Park continues to gentrify. A Starbucks, other nationally known retailers and a large supermarket chain top their wish lists.'The chains--Quiznos, McDonalds and Subway--are just beginning to come in', says residential developer Mark Olshansky, president of JMM Development....'Everyone's dreaming of the day when Starbucks comes to Albany Park', he continues....'A Target would take Albany Park to its next level.'"

I know I'm dreaming of the day when I see the first Chowhound report on the Albany Park Starbucks.
