I am an enthusiastic yet wary newbie to this exciting and fruitful hobby, and most of my finds go unpicked and uneaten due to the uncertainty of potential lookalikes. I would *love* to get some hands on experience with someone containing vastly more knowledge than I.
Are there any secret societies of mushroom hunters or field trips out there that can help me enjoy these delicious fruiting bodies and keep me from sudden death?
