'Fun' restaurants?

addiez | Oct 8, 2015 06:12 AM

Hi all,

My boss sits in LA, but every year takes our team out to dinner here in Boston for Christmas. We have a relatively big group, so it's important for us to plan ahead - hence the October request. He really likes 'fun' spots - obviously I'm looking for great food, but that's not the priority. Last year we went to Red Lantern which was a hit - and every other place I can think of in the same vein (with better food) is Asian inspired... Myers + Chang, Hojoko, Shojo, etc. I'm trying to think of a non-Asian restaurant that would be 'fun' for the group but also good food and takes reservations and isn't TOO expensive. Thoughts include Beehive/Beat Hotel, Sarma, Tico, maybe Taranta? Does anyone have others that aren't too far of a cab/T ride from downtown?

Thank you!

Myers+Chang,
Hojoko,
Shojo Boston,
Sarma Restaurant,
Tico,
Taranta
