Fun place for kids

I am planning on taking my daughter and her best friend (ages 7 and 8) to go see a show in San Francisco, and I was wanting to make it fun. Go to a dress up type restaurant (for them), that isn't going to stress me out that I am disturbing others with our outing, then go to the show. I was wondering if anyone had ideas of some places I could take them, they could dress up, and it would seem very cool to them, without hurting my wallet too much or being overly disruptive to others. Don't get me wrong, they are well behaved, they are just well behaved 7 and 8 year olds. It will probably be an afternoon show, so a lunch or early dinner is what we would do. I have been to a number of places in the city, but everyone in the party was over 30, so I am at a loss for a kid-fun place. Any ideas?
