Fun for kids, decent food?

My family and I were recently in South Florida and we visited a restaurant in Boca Raton called "Wilt's" as in the late great Warriors/Lakers center. The thing that made it really nice was that along side a medium-sized room filled with ski-ball, video games and an actual small indoor basketball court, there was a decent (that is, of the California Pizza Kitchen, Red, Hot, and Blue ilk), table-service restaurant where kids and grown ups alike could find something edible.

Does anyone out there in D.C. chowland know of anything in D.C./Montgomery Co./No. Va. that might fill a similar bill? We loathe the mouse Cheese place, and really enjoyed the idea of being able to sit with some grown-up friends talking (albeit loudly) while the kids blow tons of change a few safe yards away. Dave & Busters is too big. And we were hoping for something a little nicer (again, table service would be preferable) than Fuddruckers.
