Fun Colombian Hamburgers in Jackson Hts.

A friend took me to La Perrada de Chalo on 83rd and Northern Blvd. tonight for a Colombian hamburger.

The place looks like White Castle on the inside, and the burger is somewhat like a Whopper. I had the 5.00 one, I forget what it's called, and it was topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo mixed with ketchup, pineapple sauce, and crumbled potato chips.

Once I got to the final bites, the chips had mixed with the mayo and the pineapple sauce to produce a texture and flavor that I've yet to experience in food--I love when that happens.

He told me the hotdogs are prepared in a similar manner. It's nothing fancy, and the burger patty was thin and fast-food like, but definitely a fun treat. I think they stay open really late, if not all night.
