It was my granddaughter's birthday and we decided to book a table at Quality Eats at 78th & 2nd. We were 7, and we had made an early reservation for this rainy morning as the doors opened at 10:30 a.m. Well, in advance of elaborating, I must say we all had a great time, friendly service staff were right there, and the food and embellishments brought to our table were very satisfying. We learned that Quality Eats had affiliations with Quality Meats and Smith & Wollensky restaurants.
The fun started right away, with orders of Quality Boody Marys (nice and spicy), and Quality Mules. Juice for my granddaughter, of course. After toasts all around, we passed around our orders of fresh made Monkey Breads served in the pan with tasty spreads. For mains: L.A. Eggs, Spinach Beignets Benedict, Obligatory Egg White Option, Kale Chicken Salad, Country French Toast, and sides of Home Fries and Neuske's Bacon. Tastings all around. A birthday Sundae surprise, and a special house gift for the young one, too. Thanks to the folk at Quality Eats!... www.qualityeats.com
As a kicker: we had parked right next to Orwasher's Bakery down the street. Took some fresh baked goodies back to the 'burbs' with us...
