Fullerton this weekend

Ate in two restaurants with a large group ranging from very unchowish types on up (or is that over?)

Mulberry Street looks like a place from my childhood in New York, with the white tiny floor tiles and wood. I was hoping for a lobster or shrimp fra diavlo, an old favorite, but it wasn't on the menu. Instead i had cioppino, a tomato based fish stew with a hint of spice. It was very good. Everyone pretty much liked what they had. The steak in peppercorn sauce was a winner.

Table Ten the second night. A few people here said Table Ten wasn't worth the money. I thought their food was very uneven. My main course was shrimp in a brandy/mustard cream sauce, which wasn't a sauce at all, but more like a soup. Tiny pieces of chopped shrimp. Very disappointing. Several people ordered the lamb chops in a raspberry/chipotle sauce. They were astoundingly good. I would go back and order that next time. Oh, and the sticy toffee pudding was fabulous!
