We recently had a really nice meal at this great Italian restaurant in Astoria. We met my son and his friend here for dinner and the four of us had a wonderful meal together.
We shared the spinach salad which is prepared to perfection and the dressing is warm and flavorful. The salad is quite large so we like to split it and the are very nice about bringing it out on two plates for us.
We shared the linguine with the red sauce and meatballs which is very, very good. One night a week they offer a steamer clam special which is all you can eat. For dessert we shared the flourless chocolate torte which is rich and decadent. Peter Roscoe has done an excellent job in making this quite a hot spot in Astoria and I recently read that he has been given a spot on the Oregon Restaurant Association board. www.fulios.com
After dinner we went to the Hotel Elliott to the Vintner's Room where we did a flight of Pinot Noir tasting from Sineaann. This room is very beautiful and you can also pair cheese plates and fruit with your wine flight tastings or take them up to the rooftop garden at the top of the hotel. www.hotelelliott.com These places are definitley worth checking out when visiting Astoria. ***kim***
