Ft Worth Bowl-bound COOG looking for Downtown Ft Worth rec's

Timmy Chan | Dec 4, 2005 04:19 PM

Seeing as how the Coogs accepted the Ft Worth Bowl invite today, the wife and I will be staying in downtown Ft. Worth from Dec. 22-24.

Looking for some good, but not outrageously expensive recommendations. Avoid the Tex-Mex and steak recommendations, as we can get that on any corner here in Houston.

Anything interesting yet inexpensive to try? The wife's still a student, so we're on a tight budget. We'll be looking for a couple of breakfasts, lunches and dinners while we're there.

I will eat anything, so fire away. Looking for a good meal on Thursday night (nothing too expensive, around $25-$30 per person), but outside of that we need to save our $$$ for BEER.

BTW, if it helps we're staying at the Ft Worth Plaza Hotel near the Convention Center (like I said, we're on a budget).

Also, I'll take good recommendations for bars, too. Don't want the club scene, no Billy Bobs, but I will do dive bars...something slightly off normal will do fine.
