Can I use my frying pan as a roasting pan?

snax | Jul 21, 200910:30 PM     7

I’m about to purchase a 9 inch and 12inch Demeyere Atlantis frying pan, and would like to know if these would be suitable to roast either a chicken or a small lamb roast? I am planning on buying a roasting pan with a rack a little later on but it would be ideal if I can get more use out of these pans. I know they are designed to go from stove top to oven but will any prolonged time in the oven affect or warp the pans? Or are they that solid that a couple of hours in the oven at a hot temp won’t damage them?
