Looking to do a fried chicken fest for my friends this weekend at the beach (even if the weather continues to SUCK), but don't necessarily want to spend the whole day at the stove.
I've heard that oven fried chicken may work as well. Any thoughts? Or should I just suck it up?
Also, is fried chicken better hot, warm or room temperature? I like it all three ways but from reading some articles on frying chicken (including the recent one in the TImes) I'm not sure how best to serve it.
By the way, my menu for that evening is fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, succotash and strawberry rhubarb ice. I am open to any suggestions for other sides that might go with the theme, as well as any recipes for milk gravy.
