At the end of October there was a long thread on fruitcakes. Well, its time to start baking! I just spent all day (since 7:00 am) doing mine and they should be out of the oven around 5 pm. Has anyone else started theirs? This is one item best not left to the last minute since I think the cakes (mine are made from a recipe brought from St. Lucia by my husband's grandmother)actually need to "age."
