Frozen Turkey

A friend has a 14 lb turkey in the freezer that has been there since Nov. 2004 wrapped in the original store shrink wrap wrapper. The question is, does anyone know if there is a time limit past which it is not recommended to cook this bird? I suspect as long as it has remaind frozen, 1 yr. and probably beyond is not a problem, but we were wondering how far beyond is acceptable.
