  1. LulusMom They have it at the HT at U Mall. I've used it - comes in a brown bag in the frozen fruit section, and is really nice.

The bad news is that there was a sad, empty hole where the frozen rhubarb would be at the HT in U Mall (and man, have they tarted that place up! hadn't been in there in quite awhile). The stock guy told me they hadn't got any in for several shipment cycles, so the supplier must be out. The brown bag you mentioned clued me in that it was coming from Stahlbush Island Farms, which doesn't have it on their web site either. But - at least I know of one place now that regularly stocks it when available.

The good news? On my way into Durham, I decided to stop by Kroger on the off chance they might have some ... and lo, in the produce department, was a beautiful basket of *fresh* hothouse rhubarb! And at a completely reasonable price! SCORE!

          1. LulusMom re: romansperson Yay! I love rhubarb, and can't wait to hear what you've made with yours.

A pie. From an old German recipe, for my husband as a reward for a (literally) crappy job he had to do in the attic today (we had ... uninvited 'guests' up there). It is absolutely stinkin' delicious too. Glad I bought enough to freeze my own stash ...
